Random lunchtime update

Score card from Le Trapiste visit in Alty, courtesy of MM. Lunt v pleased to have misread the menu and therefore start things of with a 2.5% fruit beer. What a hard man.

While I'm on, check out the below. Some bloke I'm playing squash against is an artist and this is on his website. Would grace any family home.

OG - fancy emailing me a bit of you artistic handiwork? I'm fairly sure of what sex the subject will be and which features will be most prominent.

Ring side seat

Much hilarity at Chez Lunt's on Sat night. I was awoken at 2am by some rumpus occurring at the boozing establishment next door. Lots of crashing, smashing, screams and the like. Quality, I thought. I looked out of the window and, much to my amusement, five plod vehicles turned up (two police vans for locking up folk, a couple of patrol cars and a minibus full of plod) and there was a big fight on the pavement. There must have been 15 police chaps there trying to separate the scrappers. Once the main bruisers had been handcuffed and bundled into the vans, all that was left were several chaps with broken noses sitting on the floor and a hell of a lot of blood (pints and pints of the stuff).

Naturally, given the seriousness of the situation, I took some snaps. They haven't come out very well but I'll put them on here anyway.

Hardworking freelance sports journo for hire

Generally very professional, apart from the odd occasion when he has a shandy or two during the event he's supposed to be covering and dozes off in a doorway.

If this does happen - don't worry. He'll watch the event on Sky plus the next day and produce a very impressive write up.

Fees: £100,000 per event covered + private jet + 5 star hotel

Very pleasing.

It's Sunday and this post is from work. I'm very pleased to have come in to central London in order to work on and send out some stuff that was promised on Friday, only to find that email and all the network drives aren't working. The gentleman from the IT helpdesk in India helpfully suggested that I ask somebody from the London IT team what is up when they come into work tomorrow. Thanks for that.

There's a moral in this story somewhere.

Four King hero

Check out the venue for the corporate entertainment poker jolly that I went on last night. The view was spectacular. My tourno was on floor 24 (as marked up) and the views were ace.

I got a mention for having the best hand of the night - four kings. At least something went right for me after the disaster with the Pool in the CL.
